Some of the more pleasant rituals of civilization center around coffee or tea. It's a chance to take a break from the day's activities and shares thoughts with friends or steal a moment to sit back and reflect in your own world.
At right, my husband, Wally, and I are taking just such a break with our good friends Chris and Anita at The Old Cataract Hotel on the Nile, where Agatha Christie wrote Murder On The Nile. Anita and toured the hotel while Wally and Chris sat and watched the sunset. They sat there for forty-five blissful minutes and never spoke a word.
The striped mug sits atop Ashby's Tea Collection which opens to reveal 6 different teas, 4 packets each. Tea must be accompanied by tea and chocolate which we've thoughtfully provided.
