Cheese 101
In this class we go over the Basic Cheese Types, tasting them, talking about them and learning about how cheese is made. You'll learn some broad characteristics of each so you'll know what you like and what you don't and have a better idea of what to pair them with.
Terroir of Cheese: Location, Location, Location
Cheddar from England is nothing like cheddar from Vermont or from Washington and we'll be tasting all three. This class is an exploration of the amazing taste differences available in the same type of cheese due to where it is made, what kind of milk is used and the style of the different cheese makers. You'll be both delighted and amazed.

A focused examination of how cheese and wine interact - what works, what doesn't and why. We will pair 4 wines with several cheeses and accompaniments, compare them and let you decide what you like. Terry and Wally August, your fearless leaders in food, have traveled the world tasting and learning about cheese, wine, chocolate and more. Their own tastes vary but they will help you figure out what yours is. Come play with your food and have a good time as you dive into the world of cheese and wine.

Chocolate 101
This class goes over the fascinating history of chocolate, where it comes from and how it came to be what it is today. You will learn how it is made and taste the differences in single origin chocolates from around the world. We will then explore pairing chocolate with wine and cheese! No passports are required for this excursion, just a willingness to climb aboard our journey of taste.
Terry and Wally August (the founders of Fancifull) will be your guides on these flavorful adventures taking place in their Hollywood store.
Each one and a half hour class will be limited to 24 people to allow time for a lively exchange of impressions and questions.

We now offer personalized wine tastings with Wally and Terry, who are highly knowledgeable when it comes to wines and the gourmet foods and cheeses that go well with them.
The entire package includes a tasting for up to 12 people, with 4-5 wines paired with artisan cheeses, charcuterie, other fine foods, and lots of fascinating information and conversation.
