What Happened to Great Taste?

Okay, this is something of a rant, but it's something that really irks me about the gift basket business.
We get catalog after catalog from companies who want us to buy their product for our baskets. They promote "gift basket components" and "great size and packaging". Why don't any of these places promote "Great Taste?" Shouldn't that be the number one priority for a gourmet gift basket? We promise to always make Great Taste the first priority in anything we put in your gifts.

Marin French Cheese

Marin French has been passionate about cheese making since 1865. Imagine the civil war was winding down, people were moving west and JeffersonThompson was making Marin French Cheese in Petaluma, CA where the creamery is still located. Their brie is renowned, made with authentic cultures and aged slowly to allow the familiar brie flavor to develop. Their 4 oz Petites are customers favorites especially the Petite Breakfast (mild and buttery) and the rich and smooth Petite Creme. We deliver these locally or you can stop by our shop and pick some up.

About Cheese

Farmstead Cheese: Cheese is made on their farm with milk from their own animals
Artisan Cheese: produced by hand in traditional manner with a skilled cheese maker at the helm.
Artisan Cheeses are often more complex and can vary slightly from year to year as weather variations will affect the milk and thus the cheese.
Commercial Cheese: Made in large quantities. This doesn't mean it is bad, there are many great cheeses made on a large scale that use good milk from humanely treated animals and no antiobiotics.
Industrialized Cheese: This is your massive production, some facotries produce as much as a million pounds of cheese a day. The milk comes in, buttons get pressed and cheese comes out. Not known for its complexity.
